Hampton Beach
BMX Cruise

The Pedal Forever Basement officially went on the road for the 2026 Hampton Beach BMX Cruise to kick off Memorial Day Weekend.

For its first appearance at the event, Pedal Forever rolled into Hampton Beach aboard a freshly preserved 1998 GT Performer Mag Model in the iconic lime green colorway — complete with a custom Pedal Forever touch and a Gate City Dust Cap installed for the ride.

Truthfully, the lime green GT just felt right at the beach. With GT BMX originally starting in Santa Ana, California, it only makes sense that a bright lime-green GT Performer would eventually end up cruising the New England coastline decades later. Some bikes are parking lot bikes. Some are trail bikes. This one officially proved itself as a certified beach bike all weekend long.

This marks the first year Pedal Forever has attended the Hampton Beach cruise, and after seeing the turnout, the bikes, and the people behind the event, it definitely won’t be the last.

It was also awesome finally putting some faces to names from the local BMX scene throughout Massachusetts and the Granite State. A lot of familiar names from groups like New England BMX Plus and Granite State BMX were out riding, talking bikes, sharing stories, and keeping the scene alive the way it’s supposed to be.

Huge thank you to everyone who organized, supported, and helped make the 2026 Hampton Beach BMX Cruise happen. The atmosphere, the riding, and the community surrounding the event made for an unforgettable start to the season.

Pedal Forever is already looking forward to the Chrome and Dirt series next month and continuing to document the bikes, stories, survivors, and rider culture that still exist throughout New England.

Looking ahead to next year, Pedal Forever hopes to return with even more bikes, more stories, and hopefully bring the next generation along for the cruise — continuing the tradition one ride at a time.
